I am now in my 3rd year at university and it will be a busy one.
I plan to make a show reel at the end of my year and I wont to focus on texturing. I want my show reel to show what I am all about
and what I want to do in the future. This show reel needs to look
professional so I can use it in interviews.
To create a good show reel I think it would be great to show parts of a
film that I have worked on. This could show that I am great working in
groups and can give my show reel some verity.
I have been ask to do the texturing for two films this
year. Ed Hudsons film and Ed Bulmers film. They are both very different
and the styles are so different that it would go great in my show reel.
It could show that I don't just stick with just one style and can work
on many.
Once Upon a time in Leningrad.
Edward Hudsons film is set in 1920s Russia. The colours are very gray scale and
mutual, like in the animated film The Little Match Girl. The only thing
in the film that will have colour is the coin, so a bright gold colour
would work really well with the pale colours. Russia's buildings are
quite bright coloured so maybe tone them down so we can keep the style
following.
The Dimension Infinite.
Edward Bulmers film is opposite, the colours are more bright but are very
natural. He wants a room full of antiques such as tea cups and old
chairs. Colours like dark green and browns would go well with this film.
Its set in the 1960s but the antiques really ages the room so maybe a
few objects like a TV or radio to help people know the time period.
I will update my progress throughout the year
Thanks for reading :)
